Herpes is a disease whose name alone is enough to threaten the hearts of people who know about it. Herpes is actually the greatest as well as the worst skin disease one can have. The cause of Herpes Lesions is the Herpes Simplex Virus, which is of two types, Herpes Simplex Virus type-1 (HSV-1) and Herpes Simplex Virus type-2 (HSV-2). HSV-1 is mainly responsible for the Oral Herpes Lesions, while HSV-2 causes Genital Herpes Lesions. But the doctors and specialists say that both the types of HSV can cause both the types of Herpes Lesions. Herpes Lesions are highly contagious and can be easily spread by the means of direct contact with the active sores. HSV is mainly spread by the means of kissing, Sexual Contact, Oral Sex, etc. But one can prevent it and can be safe from Herpes Lesions by adopting the few precautions in life. Herpes can be prevented by the use of condoms, limiting the sex partners, avoiding having sex with unknowns, etc. Herpes is actually incurable. But there are many types of antiviral medicines available today for the treatment of Herpes, which can easily erase the symptoms of Herpes Lesions and can delay the outbreaks of them.
